Adewale is an award winning, self-taught chef and food personality best known for his keen sense of fashion and his web cooking series Food for Thought. Born in Washington DC, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. Adewale is truly living his version of the American Dream.

Adewale loves nothing more than sharing his passion for fashion and cooking while connecting with people through food. As a self-taught chef and a fashionista, he is able to connect to home cooks in an approachable, genuine and relatable way, making the kitchen a little less intimidating.

The Journey

Raised in a Nigerian household by a strong Nigerian woman, cooking was always a big part of my life. One of my earliest memories in the kitchen was making meatloaf with my mom. When I finally moved back to the United States after high school, I found myself having to cook a lot more. I was a young man trying to make ends meet and I didn’t have the luxury of eating out frequently. It was around this time when I started “experimenting” in the kitchen, especially after watching cooking shows on food network that made cooking looks so exciting.
